Antique 1790s Late 18th Century Early American Primitive Corner Cupboard with Original Red Milk Paint
With muted, time-worn original red milk paint and simple but timeless construction, our antique early American primitive corner cupboard from the 1790s is a true delight for any collector of primitives or those who want to add a bit more soul to their home. We love this nestled into a corner of a cozy, layered living room, as a dreamy pantry or in a dining room to hold dishes and linens.
As shown in photos, there is age-appropriate wear throughout. As also detailed in photos, the rails and styles of the cupboard doors have some gaping, which allows for slight adjustability and movement, which we have chosen to keep as is. This adjustability allows for proper fitting of the locks. Once this is in its final home, the rails and styles could be wood glued to the panels to prevent any further movement or left as is.

"This cupboard is filled with so much charm, from the small repairs and patches made throughout the years to the round knobs to the perfectly worn original milk paint finish. Another fun little detail of this piece's past is the nibbles to the wood on the drawer sides. Most likely used to store food, a little creature was determined to get their invite for the feast."
