Late 1800s Antique "Flowers of the Holy Land" Pressed Flower Herbarium Book from 1871
Beautifully preserved for over 150 years, our antique "Flowers of the Holy Land" pressed flower book is an incredibly special piece. Hand-signed on the cover from 1871 with 12 pages of skillfully placed pressed florals from the 1800s, this book invites you to experience a humble but awe-inspiring connection between nature and spirituality.
At the bottom of each page, a thoughtful detail in French, English and German denotes where the flowers came from, including places like Jerusalem, Mount Moriah, Mount of Olives, Bethlehem, Jericho and others.
Of the 12 pages, 11 retain their tissue guards.
While this book should be handled gently due to its nature and age, the spine remains well intact and can easily be flipped through to be enjoyed.

"I truly think this is one of the most special pieces I've had the pleasure to come across. Just the fact that we can see and (very gently) touch something that is typically so delicate and so fleeting over 150 years later is beyond incredible to me."
