Late 1800s Primitive Pennsylvania Dutch Wooden Trestle Table with Original Red Wash Paint and Mortise and Tenon Construction
With perfect patina throughout and a subtle original red wash paint with beautiful, authentic crackle, our 1870s Pennsylvania Dutch wooden trestle table is sure to become one of the favorite pieces in your home. Simple but interesting lines and a mortise and tenon construction add intrigue to this Americana piece.
Owing its versatility to its size and height, we love this as a primitive desk for a smaller work area, as a table to greet you in the middle of an entryway, next to a sunny window filled with books, pottery and a cozy lamp or even as a sweet dining table for two.
As shown in photos, there is age-appropriate wear throughout. There are some small white paint splatters, mostly on one side of the legs as well as the edges of the tabletop. There are also some carvings to the tabletop, to include the name "Kate," which we think adds all the more charm to this storied piece.
